Understanding Your Metrics

d' (d-prime) Sensitivity Index

A signal detection theory metric measuring your ability to discriminate targets from non-targets. Higher d' (>3.0) indicates excellent discrimination; lower values (<1.0) suggest difficulty distinguishing signals from noise.

Hit Rate

The proportion of target stimuli you correctly identified as matches. A higher hit rate means fewer targets were missed.

False Alarm Rate

The proportion of non-target stimuli incorrectly identified as matches. A lower false alarm rate indicates better impulse control and discrimination.

Overall Score

A composite score (0-100) combining d' sensitivity (65%), overall accuracy (20%), and reaction speed (15%), with N-level bonus. Based on signal detection theory norms.
